Ben and Verna were supposed to get married in July 2020. Then the C-bomb hit and their summer wedding was postponed to October. Thinking the madness would be over by that time! But it became clear that it was going to be a little different than originally planned with a micro wedding.
Ben and Verna decided to change to only 9 people for their special day (including themselves!). It was as if they knew, as only a few weeks before the wedding the rules were changed again to only 15 guests!! We had some fun group shots and a play on the pandemic situation with face masks. As Verna said, “You can’t have a wedding in the middle of the pandemic without having face mask photos!”
Their day went ahead as planned at the beautiful Welwyn Garden City venue of Tewin Bury Farm. We did a little first look before Ben and Verna walked down the aisle together in front of their loved ones. And we’ll be headed back there in 2022 for the big celebrations with everyone!
So whilst 2020 was a weird year with a lot of unexpected things to say the least. What it did really show us, is love is always needed. And the intimate weddings can be just as crazy beautiful and meaningful as the big ones.
Don’t believe me? See for yourself!
